(Updated 3/25/2020)

The Research Experiences for High School and Undergraduate Students (REHU) program provides high school and undergraduate students support to work on summer research projects at collaborating Center institutions. Students accepted into the program are matched with 10-week projects organized by a mentor. REHU students attend seminars, weekly lab meetings, and lunch meetings, some with journal club presentations. At the end of the program participants submit final summary reports and give talks at a REHU Symposium.

REHU 2020 will provide an opportunity for the students to work in the laboratories in San Diego (Palmer lab, Ideker lab), Memphis (Chen lab), Buffalo (Meyer lab) and Winston-Salem (Solberg Woods lab).
Students will receive $5,000 stipend or comparable salary; at some locations housing will also be provided.
Students will work in the research laboratory for 10 weeks (June 15 – August 21, 2020), will participate in laboratory seminars and in on-line journal club for REHU students. Students will give a talk at the REHU Symposiunm and write a research paper at the end of the program.
